Rural Colorado Republicans Deny The Truth, As Usual

Today, in the Denver Post, I read an article about several signs that bash Governor Ritter just outside of Castle Rock & Colorado Springs. And of course, like the worms they are, the state and local level Republican party denies ever posting the signs on anyone’s property. And of course, these signs are posted on private properties without the permission of the land owners and have failed to honour requests to take the signs down. The signs say things such as “Why does Ritter hate Douglas County?” but they fail to answer the question “Why do we hate Douglas County landowners enough to erect ugly-ass signs on their property?”. Some of the property owners know who placed the signs there and have received promises to take them down that have never been honoured. Republicans being unable to honour promises?!? Why, that is so unusual, like the sky being blue or the mountains staying in the exact same spot today as they were yesterday.

It is not an odd thing that the Colorado Republican Party and local branches of it throughout the states are violating the law, it is one of the tenets of neo-conservatism. Republicans will do whatever they can to reduce the rights of the American People and those of foreigners as much as humanly possible. This has been proven in previous Republican administrations, and the majority of opposition of civil rights comes from the Republican Party. The Republican Party is all about tax cuts to the rich, at any cost – which we just happen to be paying right now by the current economic crisis. This, as we currently see in our economic situation, bankrupts the country by depriving it of much needed revenue to continue the work of government. Given the fact that people would generally like emergency services in their neighbourhood and would rather not pay for them person-by-person, I am certain that paying taxes is an inevitable need.

From what I have seen so far, Governor Ritter has done very well as Governor of Colorado, working to help improve access to public education, increase civil rights for LGBT people and just making Colorado a better place. Conservatives hate Ritter because their vitriolic hate and poison has no purchase with him. Evil lobby groups such as Focus on the Family are largely ignored by Ritter and he should be applauded for that alone! He is a maverick, and I would have no hesitation with working to nominate him for President of the United States, given the terrific job that he has been doing here in Colorado. From what I can ascertain, there is no reason why anyone would believe that he somehow “hates” Douglas or El Paso Counties, given the fact that he was not raised in the Urban complex that is the Denver Metro Area. Given the level of social services available here in Colorado, I would have to say to anyone complaining about the current tax structure that if they do not like it, they can go to hell, by which I mean Texas.

In closing, I would like to ask the people who erected these signs, why not stand up and take accountability for what you write and do? I write all sorts of vitriolic things, but there is a fundamental difference in what I write and what you posted on these property owner’s lands without permission. I am honest and I declare my real, full and legal name honestly on this website. I do not hide behind the anonymity of the Internet to keep from being held accountable for what I say, but I defend what I say with evidence and observation. If you have something to say about anything I have written here, you are more than welcome to contact me and I will talk with you about the article. That is how I roll and that is how honest people generally roll. Of course, you really would not know that if you are in the Republican party, a party that denies accountability for any of it’s actions. Keep up the good work, Governor Ritter!

  • Today, I was reading an article on Questioning Transphobia about the evil transphobic Julie Bindel and her paranoid delusions about how transsexual women are sick, evil and wrong.
