Christians LOVE Cherry Picking to Death!

Christians love to cherry pick their scripture, this much is apparent by just listening to them talk or bringing up the death and destruction that their god threatens to rain down on the world. But there are Christian groups out there that take cherry picking too far and use the bible to justify malicious actions against people who do not agree with their doctrine. Why do I bring this up today of all days, my reader, when it is so obvious that Christians enjoy cherry picking any time, any where? Well, recently, an abortion doctor was brutally slaughtered in his church by a crazy Christian gunman. And of course, he was an active participant in anti-abortion websites and since there is no secular reason to ban abortion, we must assume that he is a religious man. Of course, despite the fact that the god of his bible loves to abort little babies and has said in his ten commandments “thou shalt not kill”, he ignores all that for the chance at a blood bath like the good little soldier he is.

The anti-choice groups (I refuse to call them pro-life, given the actions of many of their members who dare to murder for the group) should be held accountable for their actions. Last I checked, conspiracy to commit murder is a serious offense and we should figure out who is really behind the slaying of all of these abortion doctors. I am certain that there is someone out there working very hard to pick the most suggestible, most mentally ready people out of their flocks and prepare them to murder an abortion doctor or two. The blood of these doctors is on these groups hands and we should stop trying to protect them, lest they work to take the life of another doctor. Or they may get bolder and step up their actions to include non-believers in their murderous rampages. After all, Christians do believe, whether they like to admit it or not, that they are more superior to the unbeliever, or if you will, the infidel.

To say that the murder of this doctor, this good man that provided a valuable service to the community, was an action perpetrated by one lone gunman is to indulge in a very dangerous brand of foolishness. The murders of abortion doctors that continue throughout this country are characteristic of single-minded religious terrorism driven by the religious right. We must NOT give religion a free pass to murder those who do not wish to follow it’s directives, lest our free nation be warped into something that resembles the nation from Nineteen Eighty-Four. The government should work diligently to investigate all anti-choice groups across the nation to find out who is behind these slayings. We must do this so that we can ensure the safety of doctors who only have the best interest of their communities in mind. And we must do this so Dr. Tiller can rest in peace and so his brutal murder can finally be avenged. May justice be served to these religious assholes in a swift and unsympathetic punishment that should tell people throughout the religious community that murdering those that do not agree with your doctrine is wrong.
