As I finish drawing out the last few design templates for my website, I have finalized something that I need to complete the design: a chibi version of myself. I intend to use it for a few areas of the site that need a bit of illustration. I also intend to use it as a personal identity and brand in various places around the Internet and also on business cards and other promotional materials for the blog. However, it must follow a litany of requirements in order to be acceptable for what is needed.

The Requirements

  • Must be an accurate likeness of me
  • Must be scalable at sizes from 1024 pixels high to 50 pixels high
  • Must be full-body
  • Must be in a Photoshop document that must be layered so I can change expressions, hairstyles and outfits (here is an example)
  • Must have a totally transparent background so it can be used with minimal issue and in any design I wish
  • Must be willing to grant full rights of usage to me. This does not mean that you will not get credit or attributed on this website.

Please e-mail me your price quotes and a link to your portfolio. I will be taking quotes until November 30th. If things go well, more work may be requested.

It’s a rather cute idea, and I may be able to help. I just got an Espon Scanner/printer so i’d like to use.

However, would you be happy with a .SAI file as opposed to a Paintshop one? It’s still layered, but I think it can only be opened in Paint tool SAI.

Also the University forbids it’s students from running a business, So I have to do it for free. >.> But I’ll make a nice attempt. ^.^
I’ll need to see a photo of you now though, and I can work on it this weekend.

I guess we can give it a go. You can find some photos of me at http://www.flickr.com/photos/tsjessica/sets/72157607730566451/ and I’ll see what I can do with the .sai file. I know you can’t run a business but maybe I could pay you a little bit under the table. ^_^

I totally admire your ambition and what you are trying to accomplish. I am a computer know nothing and thats as far as it goes. Anyone who likes ABBA is fabulous in my estimation. Keep it up as I read what you have to say. Leslee
