I Wanna Play DDR!

There was something that I got addicted to back in Canada, that my love interest Miranda showed me and I became vastly interested in. I was absolutely horrible at it, giving everyone such a bad show that I had to sit down, humiliated and distraught. It may seem like everyone to me, but in reality, I know it was only Miranda that saw my crushing failure. I am talking about Dance Dance Revolution and it’s a game that I have been highly interested in getting back into for quite some time. Now, keep in mind that I know for a fact that I can’t afford to play DDR right now, given the fact that I don’t have any money for a Playstation, DDR game nor television set. However, I am dedicated to learning how to play DDR with the best of them because the music is awesome, I need to lose weight and it looks really fun. So, after the surgery, once I heal up and am ready to spend a little bit of money - I plan to go out and get a DDR system so I start practicing because the machines in arcades are pretty pricey and plus, they cost a lot more if you intend to practice daily. It is fun, it is tiring and it will ultimately help make me into a thinner, better woman - at least I hope ;-P.

Dance Dance Revolution is a super-geeky thing and I like to think of myself as a super geek. Especially since I plan to do all sorts of things that are not normally attributed to super geeky girls, like entering fashion shows for transwomen and for ciswomen as well. I view my glasses as a very valuable accessory and one that radiates my geekiness and one that I can use to show desire in other girls, as well as other emotions. I wouldn’t get laser because of the fact that my glasses are too valuable to give up. Plus, laser is super-risky since we really do not know the long term effects of laser eye surgery. But either way, I am going off on a tangent here and I have to say that I like to keep my geeky aesthetic and use it to really surprise people.

Dance Dance Revolution can also help with coordination. Many people who know me know the fact that I am very poorly coordinated and I know for a fact that this needs to change. I want to dance, I want to be even more random and lively when I am around a group of people that I do not really know all that well. And since I am a romantic, I want to go into ballroom dancing and have a really beautiful and magical dance with the girl of my dreams - when I finally do find her. And of course, I want to be able to wear heels without falling or tripping or hurting myself - things that I seem to do often in heels. Hopefully, with a little luck and practice, Dance Dance Revolution will help me find the necessary balance to help stay on my feet and not wobbling like you wouldn’t believe.

Bryan Veloso from the blog Avalonstar had a DDR progress tracker on his weblog for a time. Now, he doesn’t but that is such a cool idea and one that will make it’s way onto this site once I actually get a redesign and a DDR system. But regardless, I think that it would be a fabulous addition to the website and it would help this site evolve into something more than just a blog. Throw in a little timeline and bam, we have a website that people would actually want to browse around other than the blog. I mean, I am all for having this site be more than just a blog as I am planning to have a entire mix of static content, a blog and other sources of dynamic content by which I modify and respond daily. The FAQs are a part of this and I am also looking to design my own FAQ programme, because quite frankly, this one that I have sucks. It hurts the layout and just looks pretty damn ugly.

And, of course, once I get everything I need to play DDR, I will HAVE to make YouTube videos about this. ^_^
