A man decided to name his daughter “Sarah McCain Palin” against his wife’s objections, just to support a misogynistic ticket. And the father was quoted as saying “I took one for the cause”. ‘Scuse me but taking advantage of your wife’s state when she is knocked out from the pain and horrible experience to stick a name onto your daughter so that you could advance this ticket is not “taking one for the cause”. You violated the trust of your wife and you have permanently scarred your daughter for the rest of her life, as she would have proof that you regarded her life with absolutely no respect or dignity at all. You showed your contempt for your wife’s right to work with you to pick out a name that is appropriate for your daughter. You sir, are a fine example of a Republican - refusing to recognize the sacrifice that women have to make during pregnancy and using it to further your own agenda. You are a consummate opportunist and a thief of your child’s innocence. You are a true example of what a Republican is but that also shows your selfish ideology and your desire to hurt those who cannot defend themselves to advance the success of the rich.

This is the most sick, perverted disgusting act I have ever heard of. You take an unwilling human being and make one of the most irreversible decisions in one’s life, against your wife’s objections. You not only give her a name that you didn’t run by your wife, you give her one that would give her animosity and bigotry when she’s 8 and if McCain gets elected due to the fact that he will have fucked up this country so badly. And you claim to have taken one for the team, true but at what cost? Denying your wife the right to choose what her daughter’s name will be and taking advantage of her trust in you?

You are a thief of innocence because you defied from day one, your daughter’s trust in you. How can she trust you knowing the fact that you decided to sacrifice her reputation for sensational purposes? That you neither cared about her or her mother, and you denied her the right to have an identity worth admitting. You sir are a sick man and I hope your wife gets every penny out of you that she can. To Ana Grace, I hope for your sake that they sort this out and that you get a name that you deserve - one that won’t find you animosity or hate in your later life. To the mother, I wish you the best of luck in seeking legal restitution, and a quick divorce on the grounds of your husband being a jerkbag.
