Today, I phoned the person that I interviewed with over at Employer name deleted for reasons of actually hoping to get the job later on. And basically, she said that while I was qualified for the job, her only concern was that I was nervous at the Interview. And if I was nervous in a private meeting with her, how would I possibly conduct myself in an airplane with about 30 passengers? I figured this would be the reason that I would be denied the job. But she told me that she was going to be interviewing again in a couple months, so I have a chance to work on this problem and then present myself once again, ready and able to take on the job! Alrighty, I want to know why that shithead Willow decided to play with my heart and my emotions and throw me aside like a paper cup after he got his jollies. I do not understand why it was that he wanted to do such a thing, offer me some hope for a relationship and then snatch it away as soon as I wanted to get together and do something. I cannot fathom why that shithead decided to fuck with my head like that. He tried to deny that he did such a thing today. Now, I know that he did, what he did was as clear as a fucking bell. If you are an atheist and you want to have some fun with some church groups in your local area that put out a list for people who want to have a ride to church, you should check out this list of funny names to use for prank calling. Near where I live, there is usually a list put out for this place called “Faith Bible Chapel”. Now, while I have been kicked out of Faith Bible Chapel because I have no hope of EVER being brainwashed, I mean converted, back to Christianity, I can conduct my shenanigans elsewhere. Like phoning to schedule rides for people all around Denver and Lakewood. I can definitely have rides scheduled on every other street on Sheridan, with the guy waiting hopelessly, hoping he could brainwash one more moron to Christ. So, if you are an atheist and you want to piss off some religious assholes, I highly recommend this list. I have already copied off enough names to have fun for months to come!
This week, I had two interviews for two different jobs that I wanted. I had interviews for both a Flight Attendant position with a commuter airline and another for a customer service position with a web hosting company that I used to use. Fortunately, these two interviews had their own individual challenges but I feel really optimistic about both of them and I am sincerely hoping that some fruit will bear from my labours. I heard today on a discussion board that I frequent that there was an event centered around the transphobic Michigan Womyn’s Music Festival called Camp Trans. For the uninitiated, the problem with the Michigan Womyn’s Festival is that it adopted a policy in the 70s that it currently holds to today known as ‘womyn-born-womyn only’. This policy is so hurtful to transwomen and should be challenged at every opportunity. You must think I am psycho to even write such a story, eh? Well, I hate to admit it but it is absolutely true. You can definitely murder innocent AND guilty people, torture countless others, get away with it and get all sorts of freebies like rides on RTD, college grants and insane bonuses. And what am I talking about? Well, I am talking about soldiers who work for the largest and most prevalent terrorist group in the world - the United States Armed Forces. Whether it be committing heinous acts of torture against Iraqi civilians or doing equally horrific things, the United States Armed Forces are the employer of choice for anyone who is seriously fucked up in the head. There are a number of people in the Armed Forces that are staunch Republicans and look up to their group leader, George W. Bush, with a reverence that allows them to be willing to die in a turf war. Having been on both sides of the counter, I know for a fact that customer service is, in fact, hell. In fact, I’ve also worked at a telephone service centre so I know what it’s like to get the people who have been put on hold as well as putting people on hold. Basically, this is just a fact in the sad state of customer service these days. While many companies embrace the automated phone systems which, while (I think) good-intentioned, cannot really help people. And of course, the pre-recorded advice that they have for you while on hold is hardly helpful, if ever. In addition, when you finally do get that special someone to talk to you - they ask you for the same details that you just gave the automated service and the last few people. And the sad part is that while this is not the fault of the person working behind the phone or counter, they are the ones that take the heat for it. Continue reading ‘Customer Service is hell’
As a devoted atheist, anti-christ and humanist, I am working hard to make sure that people in my metro area are able to free themselves from God in their lives. And because humanity seems to be so ritualistic, I have became ordained with the First Church of Atheism a few months ago. The rationale as to why I did this is because I’d like to perform secular ceremonies such as weddings, funerals, commitment ceremonies, etc. for people who just don’t want to defame their special moment with the name of a god, any god. But oh so sadly, I am the only listed atheist minister in Colorado. Now, this might not pose a problem for people in the Denver/Boulder corridor but what about those poor godless people in places where public transit cannot reach? What about those who need these kind of ceremonies but cannot get them because of the fact that there simply is no atheist minister in their area? I recently found today that there is a new method of collecting stem cells for the purposes of scientific research. It is a little bit gross, but I dare say that it is a method that not a lot of people can complain too much about. I found out about this on CNNMoney and it seems quite intriguing.
