I am tired of this! I have been looking for a new job for several weeks (months, in fact) and the biggest problem with obtaining employment which could possibly help me get closer to the surgery is my misdemeanor shoplifting conviction. While I am working on getting that record sealed, this is going to take like 6 months and there is probably no way I could possibly get gainful employment in time to have surgery by December. While TalentTree did start working on placing me at another employer (I had to go in to get forms to do a drug test today), I am still irritated that ultimately, I have to consider options for gainful employment. And yes, this means finding an employer who is a bit more willing to keep me on because of the fact that they see me as a woman from the get go and not a “man dressed as a woman”.
