Marriage Does Need to Be Protected, From Conservatives

I hear all the time these bigoted assholes that want to “protect marriage”, when what they really want to do is divide people and forbid people from marrying who they love because of the sex of the people involved. Marriage should be between two adults who truly love one another and are committed to being with one another for life. Marriage is a meaningful institution and I hope that when I find the love of my life, I hope that I can get married to her and enjoy a long and fruitful relationship with her. I am seeking more out of life but I also want to settle down somewhere one day and have a family. Weird, I know, but I am telling the absolute 100% truth! I want to have the 2.5 children, white picket fence and the german shepherd. I want to have family vacations and be a stay at home mom once it is time for that. I know it sounds weird, but this is absolutely and honestly what I want out of my life - I shouldn’t be denied it just because my spouse will most definitely be another woman. Should We Give Children Gendered Names?

Earlier, I posted on Gender Neutral Pronouns. But now, I am going to talk about something even more important - the use of a name which is not attached to masculinity or femininity. In society, names are especially important and they hold attachments to many of our memories. We remember our parents getting pissed and calling us by our first and middle names. My mother even told me that if she was going to name me and if I were born a genetic girl, she would have named me Lacie Starlene. Yeah, I didn’t get that either. But why should we give children names that try to lock them into one gender or another without their consent? What is the motivation behind this idea?
