My pilgrimage to Indiana and the blog

On Tuesday, I will be making the trip to Indiana to finalize the legal name change. I have a few sets of clothes packed and enough food to get me there and maybe to help me survive the trip back. I have enough reading material to interest me for the trip there, and when I get back, I will bring back the rest of my reading materials in my second suitcase (hope Areya can spare $5 for the extra suitcase fee that Greyhound levies, I am broke after Wells Fargo levied one false overdraft fee too many). Other than that, I am totally ready and excited to attend the name change hearing before the judge in the middle-of-fucking-nowhere, Indiana. RTD Now Provided on Google Transit

Tired of waiting forever to get directions on riding RTD? Tired of the constant issues with RTD’s website? Well, I have found out that RTD is now providing it’s service maps and data to Google in their Google Transit programme. In fact, they symbolically started on Earth Day. I believe this is a vast improvement because I will be able to use the powerful search features of Google (which I favour a lot more than RTD’s own website) to plan my transit trips. However, Google Transit is showing a bad habit to push Express and Regional transfers for trips that can be taken on local buses. I will write an e-mail to Google’s development team in order to address this issue. This is a big thing because the word is that RTD is quite slow to adapt to techology. Once, I was talking to Gerri Castro at RTD, about the EcoPass programme and she made a statement about RTD’s inability to adapt to new technology that made it seem quite apt.
