Sad to announce, my Macbook Pro breathed it’s last breaths and keeled over on Sunday (or was it Monday, hell if I know). Can computers breathe? Meh, why debate semantics at a time like this. My computer fell off my lap and I think that may have busted the processor or the ram chips or something. Hopefully, it wasn’t the hard drive, because I have 3 years of music on that hard drive and I don’t want to lose it! But regardless, I plan to start blogging about the name change and the crap that I had t

I have a certain set of tools that I actively use to post to my blog. While it can be posted to when I am at any computer, I use the following hardware most of the time when I am writing on my blog. As a former tech-obssessed geek, I have a tech preference for certain brands as I have had experience with cheap crap. Dell, Lexmark and other craptacular brands like that are obviously low quality and I would never purchase them. However, Apple and Pentax are brands that I trust, because they have never broken down through reasons that could not be blamed on me. However, these things of mine fall apart thanks to being in my possession. Continue reading ‘What I use to author this blog’
On Tuesday, I will be making the trip to Indiana to finalize the legal name change. I have a few sets of clothes packed and enough food to get me there and maybe to help me survive the trip back. I have enough reading material to interest me for the trip there, and when I get back, I will bring back the rest of my reading materials in my second suitcase (hope Areya can spare $5 for the extra suitcase fee that Greyhound levies, I am broke after Wells Fargo levied one false overdraft fee too many). Other than that, I am totally ready and excited to attend the name change hearing before the judge in the middle-of-fucking-nowhere, Indiana. And I am totally excited to head the hell back here to Colorado and obtain my fully female ID card with the DR 2083 that I had to have Dr. Wilson sign. I would like to make it clear that this is not a splog. It is true that I am doing commercially-motivated posts for advertisers on PayPerPost. However, I am only doing so with the concept that this blog will still contain my own original and unique content. I have no desire to turn this blog into a splog (or a spam log) and I will not exchange links with splogs. Sorry, but I don’t need that hubris. (And yes, this is a very short rant post but trust me, it was warranted)
I just joined PayPerPost because well, I can’t finance this surgery fast enough and I need more money. However, I am not willing to do anything that would compromise my ethics (such as joining the military). Therefore, I have decided to dedicate a portion of this blog’s posts to promoting commercial interests, new products and services and anything that I would feel no ethical repercussions for promoting. The posts will be placed in the new category that I created specifically for posts like this (see Commercial Whore) and will be tagged with the name of the advertiser. Right now, I am having some troubles with my good friend, Becca. On Sunday night, I falsely accused her of ‘using me’ just so she could get access to my computer. Now, when I logically think about this, nothing could be further from the truth. But logic never permeates thoughts and actions when they are done without thinking and in the moment. So, I shot my mouth off and falsely accused her of wrongdoing without any basis at all. And of course, this depresses me and angers her because we are separated by a wall created by my own stupidity. Just fucking great.
Now, as you know - I am a transsexual whose biggest ambitions in life are to transition and become a writer and a professor at a University. However, there is all the flotsam about self-esteem and appearance that really bothers me. And right now, the one thing I can do to improve my self-esteem and appearance is to lose weight. Since I weigh about 200 lbs and have a ‘beer belly’, this is something that needs to be improved. So, I am planning to start attending Bikram yoga courses and I have contacted the Bikram yoga college in Westminster. So far, it seems like the best deal in the Denver/Boulder corridor ($50 a month for the first month, $50 for the second month if you can make 25 courses in the first 30 days that you paid for and $130 thereafter). I have decided to do something weird on this blog. On my last post, you will have seen an odd tag (rtd16). I plan to start tagging my posts that mention something that happens on the bus with the transit authority’s name (in this case, RTD) and the bus number (in this case, 16). This may be seen as a form of geolocation. It may even be seen as an interesting way to keep tabs on what buses I use, I don’t know. I just thought it would be interesting to do. So, keep reading the blog and I hope you enjoy what I write!
I have a lot to say, I do! Don’t get me wrong, I am still the highly opinionated atheist that everyone knows me to be. It’s just that my Cellular Internet connection has been cut off by Sprint because I refuse to pay a bill higher than what I was supposed to pay (damn those assholes!). So yeah, I’ve taken an unintentional weeklong hiatus from writing on the blog. Tune in next week though, because I will continue my evaluation of Satanism, the UUA’s principles, the fucked up beliefs of fundamentalist Christians and maybe I can even get an interview with someone from the Church of Satan *gasp*. Who knows? But either way, tune in next week for some definitely awesome jams!
I would like to bring up one of the most annoying things about American culture. When I was living in Texas, I often saw the rebel flag on a number of people’s cars, front lawns, et cetra. And when I was working at Jack in the Box, I saw two black people in a truck with a confederate flag sticker as big as their back window pasted on their back window. This is something that greatly irritates me as these people are FUCKING HYPOCRITES. I mean, who really wants to be enslaved by another person (and no, BDSM is much different)? In addition, I have seen a number of people in northern states (like Indiana) use these flags. Continue reading ‘A Rant: The Rebel Flag’
