My personal transition story is within these pages, as I bare my heart and soul recounting my journey through transsexual transition and all of the vagaries that are associated with transitioning.
In 2007, I had made the decision to undergo a sex change after much introspection and having fully realized the fact that I am a transsexual for the third time in my life. I will tell you that I had learned that I am a transsexual woman after talking with a crossdresser friend that I had made online and doing some research online about transsexuals and what transsexuality is. I have read the personal stories of other transsexual women and found that these stories are basically my story, experienced by another person at another time and another place. After this revelation, I had decided to start hormones and MOVE somewhere else simply because of the fact that even though I had met some wonderful, amazing people in the transgender community in Houston, I doubted my success in Houston. I had been looking at places to move, as well as Buddhist Universities and found Boulder, Colorado and the town of the “Naked Pumpkin Run” and Mork and Mindy kinda started to grow on me. So, before I left for Boulder, I decided to start my hormone replacement therapy and leave for Boulder on Southwest Airlines. However, I found out a horrible truth and the fact of the matter is that while beautiful, Boulder, Colorado is a horribly expensive town to live in.
Since I have moved to Boulder (and then, incidentally, to Denver), I had my name legally changed and raised enough money to have sex reassignment surgery with Dr. Pichet Rodchareon of Bangkok, Thailand. I had also learned about what I wanted romantically and started actively seeking out romantic relationships both pre- and post-op. I had accidentally got married to another transsexual woman after coming back from Thailand due to some issues with loneliness and we separated somewhat amicably. I am currently pursuing a degree and a career in Computer Science and I am also trying to find the man of my dreams or something close to that.
